As a part of the 2024 Kentucky Farm to School Challenge, Mrs. Bradbury set up a taste test of Kentucky grown apples for Mrs. Jamie’s class. Students did a great job of comparing the different apples and choosing their favorite. #kyfarmtoschool #proudtobeagrizzly

Thursday night, 10/24, the SCHS Educator's Rising group is hosting a Trick or Treat event at SCHS. Kids of all ages are invited to Trick or Treat through the hallways. We will have food trucks, groups passing out candy, face painting, and concessions. #togetherSC

Thank you Spencer County for your generosity! A special thank you to Country Mart, Brian Stephenson, Tiffanie Richardson, Beau Girley, Vonda Martin, Stephanie Simpson, Laura Gabbard, Karlie Acker, Jay Armstrong and SCMS Onraka House! Together we packed the trailer with donations to help those in need after the devasting floods in the eastern parts of the US after Hurricane Helene.

SCMS Onraka House is set up at Country Mart and taking donations until 7pm!

Students in Ms. Owens’ ELA class have spent the last few days finishing their collaboration poster project. Students worked both individually and in small groups to discuss their class novel and come up with creative ways to summarize the story together. #activecollaborator

Spencer County Middle School’s Nukumori House ( 💜 Purple House of Kindness 💜) did a Halloween 🎃 Costume 👻 drive and our SCMS community provided!! There will be about 100 costumes for sale! For the safety of our students, staff and visitors we will be conducting our Sudden Cardiac Arrest training drill today at 1030. This is just a drill, so our staff are prepared if there ever were an emergency.
